BRAUNSCHWEIG, Germany – Fresh off a long run in the NBA Summer League,
Brayon Blake is set to bring his skills overseas, to Löwen Braunschweig in the German Basketball Bundesliga.
Blake is currently averaging 3.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. His limits have been limited, but Blake has proven his ability to compete with the best of the best. The Cavs take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at 5:30 p.m. Pacific in semifinal action.
Blake was exceptional for the Vandals during his senior season, earning First Team All-Big Sky honors after posting 17 points and nearly 10 boards per game. He really rounded out his game as a senior, improving his 3-point shooting to post the fifth best single-season average in team history.
Braunschweig finished 12
th in the Bundesliga last season at 14-20. The team has featured a number of former and future NBA players, including Dennis Schöoder (Atlanta Hawks), Daniel Theis (Boston Celtics) and Chris Herren (Denver Nuggets/Boston Celtics). The remainder of the roster will be announced in the coming weeks.
