MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is excited to announce the signing of Cole Alteneder of Newberg High School in Oregon.
Alteneder has had a strong presence at the Oregon State Track & Field Championships since his freshman year in high school when he placed ninth in the 300m hurdles. His incredible consistency continued by placing fourth in the 300m hurdles and ninth in the 110m hurdles as a sophomore, fourth in the 300m hurdles and third in the 110m hurdles as a junior, and he finished his senior year by placing fourth in the 300m hurdles and claimed a second place finish in the 110m hurdles. He scored 29 points at the Oregon State Track & Field Championships for his team not including relays over his career. He was a two-time TRL district champion in the 300m hurdles.
Alteneder has personal bests of 38.21 in the 300m hurdles, 14.47 in the 110m hurdles, and 50.97 in the open 400m.
