Cross Country Ranked in West Region

Season starts Friday

REGIONAL RANKINGS

MOSCOW, Idaho
– The 2018 cross country season is just days away and the expectations for Idaho continue to grow, with both the men and the women ranked 14th in preseason West Region Rankings.

The West Region includes more than 40 programs and is one of the best in the country.  It features most of the Pac-12, as well as teams from the Mountain West, West Coast Conference, Big West Conference and WAC.  Several other Big Sky programs are ranked, primarily in the Mountain Region.

The Big Sky also released its preseason projections.  The women were picked to finish fourth, while the men were placed fifth.  The women finished third last season, while the men placed fourth.  The women return 4-of-5 scorers from the meet, while the men have 3-of-5 coming back in 2018.

The season gets underway on Friday night at home, with the annual Clash of the Inland Northwest.  Check back with GoVandals.com later in the week for more on the event.
