MOSCOW, Idaho – Nahshon George has found a new home for the 2018-19 season, signing on with Sporting Alexandria in Egypt.
George spent last season with Hang Tuah in Indonesia. He played 22 games and ranked fifth in the league in both points and rebounds per game, on his way to earning All-Indonesian IBL First Team honors. He finished the year averaging 23.4 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game, and was selected for the All-Star Game. George and Hang Tuah advanced to the semifinals in the postseason.
Previously, George played with Thai General Equipment in the Thailand Basketball League. There, he earned All-Thailand TBSL Honorable Mention honors after finishing second in the league with 14.2 rebounds per contest. George also averaged 19.2 points, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals per contest over 21 games with TGE.
George played two seasons with the Vandals, from 2014-16. His best year came during his senior campaign when he averaged 4.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest while helping Idaho to its best record in more than two decades.
