MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho men's basketball continues to place former student-athletes overseas, with
Arkadiy Mkrtychyan signing with Pärnu Sadam in Estonia.
Pärnu Sadam has continued to improve in the Korvpalli Meistriliiga, the highest level in the Estonian Basketball Association. The team finished fifth last season, and advanced to the semifinals in the postseason.
Mkrtychyan has plenty of experience overseas, after competing for Team Armenia during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Pre-Qualifiers.
He was incredibly consistent during his time with the Vandals. He averaged 7.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game during his four-year career. He appeared in 120 contests, the fifth most by a Vandal in team history.
Mkrtychyan becomes the third Vandal from last year's senior class to sign overseas.
Brayon Blake (Löwan Braunschweig) and
Victor Sanders (Telenet Giants Antwerp) signed earlier in the summer.
