MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football will host Eastern Washington in a nonconference game during the 2019 season, Interim Director of Athletics Pete Isakson announced Friday. The game will take place Sept. 21, in the Kibbie Dome. Idaho Athletics also announced 2019 football season tickets are available to renew or purchase online and via phone. Renewals will be mailed in the coming weeks.

"We are really excited to complete our 2019 schedule with a high-level home game," Isakson said. "There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to scheduling. We worked through a number of scenarios for our 12th game and in the end we got the game we wanted."

FCS schools are permitted to play a 12th regular-season game during years in which 13 Saturdays fall between Labor Day Weekend and Thanksgiving. The next time the calendar will allow 12 regular-season games is 2024, and again in 2025.

"Our home games have a big impact on the Moscow community, so it was important to us to do our part and find a way for our 12th game to be in the Dome," Isakson said. "There was also a void to fill with Eastern Washington not being on our Big Sky schedule this year. We wanted to correct that. Credit to (EWU Athletic Director) Lynn Hickey and her staff for feeling the same way and wanting to make it happen."

The game between the Vandals and Eagles completes each school's 12-game schedule for 2019, and guarantees an annual meeting between the regional foes for the foreseeable future. Beginning with the 2020 season, the Big Sky Conference will institute a scheduling policy that guarantees each school will play its two protected rivals every year. Idaho's two rivals will be EWU and Montana.

Idaho leads the all-time series against Eastern Washington 15-7. The Eagles have won the last three meetings, including the 2018 matchup in Cheney on their way to a national runner-up performance in the FCS Playoffs.

Renew or Buy Season Tickets Now
Season tickets for the 2019 campaign are available now for renewal and purchase online or over the phone (208-885-6466). Mailed renewals will be delivered next month. The deadline for current season ticket holders to reserve their seats for another season is March 29. Returning season ticket holders also have the option to upgrade or relocate their seats.

Fans who renew their season tickets before the deadline will be entered to win prizes. Weekly drawings will begin in February. All new season ticket purchasers will be entered into monthly prize drawings, which begin in May. The earlier fans purchase tickets, the more prizes they will be eligible to win.

Ticket pricing underwent an overhaul during the offseason as part of an ongoing effort to better align the priorities of Vandal Athletics with its revenues and expenditures. The new structure also provides clarity and consistency throughout the stadium.

Seats between the 20-yard lines are $150 per season ticket (sections 4-8 and 15), while seats outside the 20-yard lines are $100 per season ticket (sections 1-3 and 9-14). Fans can choose the specific section they want their tickets in based on their contributions to the Vandal Scholarship Fund.

"The change to our price structure is a reflection of what is important and is easy to understand," Isakson said. "The Vandal Scholarship Fund is our top priority. The new pricing rewards our fans who are helping us reach our goal of funding every student-athlete scholarship through the VSF."

For seating areas between the 20s, section 15 (Purple) carries a $75 per-seat minimum contribution; sections 4 and 8 (Gold) require a $125 per-seat contribution; sections 5 and 7 (Green) are available with a $250 per-seat contribution; and section 6 (Orange) has a $400 minimum per-seat contribution.

Outside the 20-yard lines, sections 3, 9 and 14 (Stadium Reserve) require a $25 per-seat contribution to the VSF. General admission tickets (sections 1, 2, 10, 11, 12 and 13) do not require a VSF contribution.

Premium seating options offer the opportunity to enjoy Vandal football with the best views in the Dome and first-class amenities, including access to the Bud and June Ford Club Room and preferred parking.
