MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football returns to Moscow to take on Idaho State for Homecoming and the ICCU Battle of the Domes. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 2:30 p.m. from the Kibbie Dome and will be televised live on ROOT Sports. Idaho is 27-12 all-time against Idaho State, but fell at the Bengals, 62-28 last season.

ABOUT IDAHO: The Vandals (2-5, 0-3 BSC) were shutout by Portland State last weekend, falling in Hillsboro 24-0. Neither team was able to score in the first half, but the Vikings took over in the second. The Vandals were outgained 181-80 on the ground.

ABOUT IDAHO STATE: The Bengals (3-3, 2-1 BSC) defeated North Dakota, 55-20, on Saturday. Matt Struck went for 396 yards and five scores through the air. All five touchdowns went to different receivers. Ty Flanagan carried the ball 20 times for 163 yards.

THIGPEN STEPS UP: With the running back group battling injuries,
Dylan Thigpen stepped in on Saturday against Portland State. The redshirt junior carried the ball 10 times for 42 yards, both career-highs. Thigpen also stepped in against Weber State, scoring his first career touchdown.

ROMANO AMONG THE BEST: Freshman
Nick Romano is among the best in the country on kick returns this season. His average of 27.9 yards per return this year is second best in the Big Sky and 13th best in the nation. Romano's average of 29.8 yards per return in conference play leads the Big Sky. Romano also returned a kickoff for a touchdown, against Weber State on Oct. 5.

WALKER OUTSTANDING: Tre Walker has led the Vandals in tackles in 6-of-7 games this season. He is averaging 11.1 tackles per game, the second most in the conference and fifth most in the FCS. His 6.9 solo tackles per game lead the Big Sky and are sixth most in the country. Last week, Walker had nine tackles, ending his streak of four consecutive games with double-digit tackles.
