MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football hosts Cal Poly on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m.  The game will be streamed live on PlutoTV.  Idaho is 2-0-0 all-time against Cal Poly, with the most recent meeting coming during the 2007 season.

ABOUT IDAHO: The Vandals (3-5, 1-3 BSC) dominated Idaho State in the ICCU Battle of the Domes two weeks ago, winning 45-21.  The Idaho defense was incredible, forcing four turnovers and returning three for touchdowns.

ABOUT CAL POLY: The Mustangs (2-6, 1-4 BSC) fell to Sacramento State, 38-14, on Saturday.  Duy Tran-Sampson led the Mustangs with 70 yards on the ground.  Cal Poly attempted just 10 passes in the game.  The Mustangs were out-gained on the ground, 348-116.

IT STARTS WITH DEFENSE: The Idaho defense was incredible two weeks ago against Idaho State.  The Vandals forced four turnovers on a pair of picks and two fumbles.  The first fumble led to a short drive and a Colton Richardson touchdown.  The next three turnovers were all returned for scores.  112 of the 124 FCS programs have fewer than three defensive touchdowns for the year.

HIGHTOWER HAS A DAY: Lloyd Hightower was a major part of the defensive efforts against Idaho State and earned ROOT SPORTS Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week.  Hightower had a pick-6 in the first quarter, giving Idaho the 14-0 advantage, and followed that up with a fumble recovery for a touchdown late in the third to seal the game for the Vandals.  He also recorded two tackles.

COTTON GOES OFF: Senior receiver Jeff Cotton had one of the best performances of his career against Idaho State.  He caught 10 passes, breaking double digits for the fourth time in his two-year career, and the third time in seven games this season.  Cotton finished the day with 192 yards, a new career-high and the 12th most in a game in program history.
