MOSCOW, Idaho – In the only exhibition game of the preseason, the Idaho women's basketball team topped Lewis-Clark State College 81-40. 12 Vandals contributed to the scoring in the win.
THE GAME
The Vandals opened the first quarter on a 17-2 run, including three 3-pointers, while holding the Warriors to just six points in the first 10 minutes of action.
Idaho closed the final quarter of play much like they began the game, scoring 27 points in the fourth.
Gina Marxen and Beyonce Bea led the Vandals in scoring with 11 points each. Janie King and Lizzy Klinker contributed nine points each while eight other Vandals chipped offensively.
THE NAME
Freshman Beyonce Bea was one of two leading scorers for the Vandals tonight with 11 points. The Washougal, Washington native also chipped in six boards in her Idaho debut.
