Vandals open home season Wednesday against Colorado State

MOSCOW, Idaho—
The Idaho women's basketball team is set to host Colorado State University at home Wednesday, November 13th, in Moscow, Idaho. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. PT.

Tuesday's matchup will be available to watch on Pluto TV channel 542, and will be streamed audio only, at GoVandals.com/listen. Live stats can be found here.

This will be the ninth time all-time the Vandals have face the Rams, and the fifth time at home.

SCOUTING IDAHO

Idaho enters its home opener against Colorado State 0-1 on the season after a 47-62 loss to Oklahoma State on the road last week.

The Vandals were led by senior Lizzy Klinker who totaled 14 points in the loss. Behind Klinker in scoring was sophomore Gina Marxen, the 2018-19 Big Sky Freshman of the Year, and a Preseason All-Conference selection this season, who added eight points.

Freshman Beyonce Bea had a nice debut against the Cowgirls last week, leading the Vandals in rebounds with 10 while adding seven points.



SCOUTING COLORADO STATE


Colorado State enters its second road contest of the season 3-0 overall.

The Rams topped Chadron State 102-51 last Tuesday before knocking off Northern Colorado 75-58 on Friday, and defeating Western Colorado 56-47 on Sunday.

The Cowgirls finished 8-22 last season and were picked to finish sixth in the Mountain West this season.

To begin the 2019-20 season five Rams are averaging double digit scoring through the first three games. Megan Jacobs leads Colorado State with 13 points per game. Andrea Brady is the Rams' rebounding leader with 7.3 per game. Brady is also averaging 10 points per game.


LAST TIME OUT


Idaho last faced Colorado State on November 10th, 2017 in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Vandals topped the Rams 83-69.

Natalie Klinker, Allison Kirby, and Isabelle Hadden each played big roles for the Vandals in the win over the Rams in 2017. Kirby totaled 14 points, while Klinker led Idaho in rebounds with 11. Hadden added in seven points for the Vandals.
