She placed 25th at the Nike Cross Regional meet this season, which the top runners from seven states compete at. She also had success earlier in her career, she was third at the Washington State Championships in cross country as a junior and fifth as a freshman.
Â
Holmgren has also had success on the track. She ran two perÂsonal bests last spring at the Washington State Track & Field Championships. She placed sixth in the 1600 with a time of 5:03.85 and placed fifth in the 3200 with a time of 10:57.38.
