MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field program is thrilled to announce the signing of Franziska Stöhr of Landau, Germany. Stöhr is a national level competitor in Germany and a very talented hurdler and sprinter.
 
Stöhr has consistently placed high at national compe­titions in Germany. She placed seventh at the 2019 German Na­tional U20 Championships in the 400m hurdles. She was also part of a 3 x 800m team that placed fifth at the U20 National Cham­pionships during the indoor season. Stöhr also placed first in the Baden-Wurttemberg Championships in the 400m hurdles. She also placed first in the 800m at the Baden Championships indoors this last year.
 
Stöhr has a personal best of 62.29 in the 400m hur­dles, which would have ranked 11th in the Big Sky Conference last season. She also has a personal bests of 25.36 in the 200m and 57.56 in the 400m. Stöhr will be in position to immedi­ately contribute in the 400m hurdles and relays right away for the Vandals as she takes her talents to the United States and the NCAA.
