MOSCOW, Idaho—Idaho women's hoops are back in Cowan Spectrum to take on the Montana schools this week in the second half of Big Sky Conference action. First up, the Vandals (11-8, 8-2 BCS) look to split this season's two-game series as it welcomes Montana (10-9, 5-5 BSC) on Thursday (Feb. 7) for a 6 p.m. tilt. Then, Idaho faces Montana State (11-10, 6-5 BSC) in a 2 p.m. meeting on Saturday (Feb. 9). Fans can watch live on PlutoTV, follow live stats or listen to Doug Taylor at GoVandals.com/Listen.
 
FASTBREAK
  • Thursday's game marks Idaho's Hoops for Hope pink game, with the players wearing pink shooting shirts. During the game there will be a silent auction hosted by Gritman Medical. Up for auction are Gritman "No One Fights Alone" shirts and Idaho pink shooting shirts. All proceeds will go to support local people who are battling cancer. Cancer Survivors will receive free admission.
  • Tied with Idaho State and Northern Colorado, the Vandals enters into the second half of league play with two losses under its belt.
  • The Splash Sisters continue to make waves as each never seem to stop breaking records. Ferenz is on her way to becoming Idaho's all-time leading scorer with only needing 15 points to do so. Against Southern Utah, Pierce made NCAA history as she become the fourth women in DI to reach 400 career threes.
  • The Vandals rank as the best scoring offense in the conference this season and is the 25th best in the nation. Idaho currently averages 77.5 points per game this season.
SCOUTING THE GRIZ
  • Montana fell to Montana State on the road, 74-52 on Saturday. The lost leaves the Griz tied with the Bobcats in the loss count with five. Montana currently sits in sixth in the conference.
  • UM ends a five-game road stretch in Moscow.  
  • Jace Henderson is the third best rebounder so far in conference this season and averages 8.3 boards a game.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
  • The Bobcats went 1-1 including a victory over in-state opponent Montana.
  • Claire Lundberg continues to lead Montana State offensively and is sixth in the conference in points per game with an average of 17.2.
