RESULTS
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Idaho got out to a great start at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Preliminary Rounds, with three Vandals competing.
Rechelle Meade finished first among the Vandal women, taking 35
th overall with a leap of 5.76 meters (18-10.75). She entered the meet ranked 37
th in the West. Freshman
Henrike Fiedler finished 42
nd at 5.59 meters (18-4.25). The duo are ranked one-two in program history in the event, with Fiedler holding the slight edge for the school record at 6.20 meters (20-4.25).
Andrea Condie closed out her Vandal career with a second trip to NCAA's, after competing in the 5k last season. Condie competed in the 10,000-meters this year, finishing 43
rd overall with a time of 35:54.32. She entered the meet ranked 44
th in the West.
Austin Beyer competes in the javelin throw on Friday at noon, and
Zachary Short will take on the shot put competition on Saturday at 2:45.
