MOSCOW, Idaho—Following one of the most successful season in program history, Idaho volleyball and head coach Debbie Buchanan are excited to announce the remaining 2019 schedule that features the Big Sky Conference slate. In 2018, the Vandals finished with a 23-10 overall and 15-3 conference mark, resulting in a regular-season championship and runner-ups in the Big Sky Championship tournament.
 
As released earlier, the Vandals begin the season with four non-conference tournaments that starts off with a home opener, the Idaho Volleyball Classic, following up with three other preseason tourneys.
 
The Big Sky slate will open at home with a pair, Portland State and Sacramento State on Sept. 26 and 28, respectively. The Vandals next four conference matches take place on the road, as Idaho lands at Montana State (Oct. 3), Montana (Oct. 4), Eastern Washington (Oct. 8) and Northern Colorado (Oct. 12).
 
Returning home, Idaho hosts 2018 Big Sky Champions in a rematch of the last season's championship game, Northern Arizona on Oct. 17 before taking on Southern Utah Oct. 18. Idaho then faces a split home-and-away contest at Weber State (Oct. 24) and hosting in-state rival, Idaho State, in the ICCU Battle of the Domes on Oct. 26. The Vandals return on the road, visiting Sacramento State Oct 31 and Portland State on Nov 2.
 
Idaho's final home matches come in four as they welcome Montana (Nov. 7), Montana State (Nov. 9), Eastern Washington (Nov. 12) and Northern Colorado (Nov. 15).
 
In the last week of conference play, the Vandals end the conference season with two on the road at Southern Utah and Northern Arizona on Nov. 21 and 23.
 
The 2019 Big Sky Conference tournament will take place Nov. 28 – 30 for the top eight teams in the conference. Sacramento State will play host for the tournament this season in Sacramento, California.  
 
Buchanan enters her 20th year at the helm of the Idaho program as the team returns 11 letter winners and five freshman ahead of the new season.
 
The Idaho Volleyball Classic and all nine conference home matches will be played inside Memorial Gym. All regular season home games, as well as all Big Sky games, will be streamed live on the PlutoTV app and at WatchBigSky.com. More information on the streaming of other road contests will be available as the games get closer. Current home game times are available, but are subject to change.
