Practice Underway in Moscow

2019 PROSPECTUS

MOSCOW, Idaho –
Idaho soccer is back in action this week with fall camp opening up on Wednesday.  Head coach Jeremy Clevenger and the Vandals have been hard at work, with just over two weeks remaining before the season-opener against Boise State.

"So far it has been great," Clevenger said.  "I've been impressed with just the overall intensity at practice.  Our competitiveness in each drill has been fantastic.  I really am excited about this year because I think we have a lot more competition in each position so you can see them battling it out every practice.  It has been a joy to show up, a joy to coach, and from these first few practice I really like what I'm seeing."

Idaho returns 7-of-11 starters from last year's squad that went 6-1-2 in Big Sky play to take second in the regular season standings.  Clevenger has brought in 12 newcomers, paired with five student-athletes that sat out last season, to fill in the gaps.

Idaho soccer kicks off the regular season in the Dome on Friday, Aug. 23 against Boise State.  The Vandals will work off some rust on Sunday, Aug. 11, with Fraser Valley coming to the Dome for an exhibition at noon.
