COLFAX, Wash. – In a preview of this year's NCAA Regional, Idaho cross country competed well at the Cougar Classic at the Colfax Golf Club, with both sides finishing third in a loaded field.

The women's squad took third, trailing only Washington State (43) and Gonzaga (48), and finished with 64 points. The men also finished third, with 89 points, trailing only Gonzaga (22) and Washington State (45).

Nathalia Campos led the way for the women and finished sixth overall with a time of 21:45.4.Â
Kelsey Swenson also finished in the top-10, taking eighth at 21:47.9.Â
Malaina Thacker took 11
th with a time of 21:56.7.

Krista Story placed 20
th overall in 22:08.4, and
Faith Dilmore finished 28
th with a time of 22:25.8.
Â
Dwain Stucker was the leader for the men, taking 17
th overall at 25:03.3.Â
Ben Shaw had a strong race for the Vandals, finishing close behind Stucker in 19
th with a time of 25:06.4.Â
Tim Stevens was also mixed up in the pack and finished in 25:09.4 to take 22
nd.

Ryan Kline and
Drew Schultz closed out the scorers for the Vandals. Kline finished in 28
th at 25:13.2, and Schultz placed 40
th at 25:25.3.Â
Grayson Ollar finished just outside scoring in 41
st at 25:26.5.
