FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Idaho swim and dive is back on the road this weekend, sending the divers to Flagstaff for the NAU Diving Invite and the swim squad to Seattle.
Heather Carbon led the Vandals in the 3-meter competition, taking fifth overall on Friday. She scored 277.00 points in the final.
The freshman duo of
Hailey Faith and
Allison Shimp also competed on Friday, taking 12
th and 13
th, respectively.
SEATTLE, Wash. – The rest of the squad takes to the road as well, to compete at Seattle U., on Saturday. Competition begins at 1 p.m.
The team has competed just once since the holiday break, but did well last weekend at George Fox. The Vandals dominated the Bruins, winning 13-of-14 events.
Aimee Iwamoto was the star of the day, earning two individual wins and two relay victories.
The team was also recently recognized as a recipient of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team award. The Vandals posted a fall grade-point average (GPA) of 3.56, marking the 12
th consecutive semester that the team finished above a 3.0.
