Idaho Men's Basketball Announces Nonconference Games

FULL SCHEDULE

MOSCOW, Idaho –
Idaho men's basketball has announced its nonconference slate of games for the 2020-21 season.

The 116th Battle of the Palouse and a date with the No. 1 team in the country highlight the early season for the Vandals.

Idaho will begin the season at an MTE hosted by the University of Portland. On November 25, the Vandals will meet Seattle University, before playing the host Pilots on November 27, and taking on Cal Poly on November 28. No fans will be in attendance at the games.

After a pair of road Big Sky games in Sacramento on December 3 and 5, Idaho will travel eight miles down the road and meet Washington State in Pullman for the Battle of the Palouse.

The Vandals then make a trip to California to take on CSU Bakersfield on Saturday, December 12. Idaho defeated the Roadrunners, 76-70, in overtime last season.

On Monday, December 14, Idaho will play Gonzaga, who sits atop the recently released AP Preseason Poll. It will be the first time the Vandals have ever taken on a team ranked first in the AP poll. Overall, Idaho is 12-49 all time against ranked teams, with their most recent victory a 64-56 win over No. 21-ranked Utah State in the 2010-11 season.

The home opener for the Vandals will be on December 31 when Big Sky play picks back up. Idaho will host Northern Arizona in Memorial Gym. The Vandals will also play Northern Colorado (Jan. 14/16), Weber State (Jan. 28/30), Eastern Washington (Feb. 4), Portland State (Feb. 20), and Montana State (Feb. 25/27) at home this season.
