FARMINGTON, Utah—For the first time this season Natalie Klinker has earned the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week honor as announced by the conference office Monday morning.

This is the second Player of the Week award for Klinker in her fourth season with the Vandals.

Klinker played 39 minutes through two games this week and averaged  a double-double with 11.0 points and 16.0 rebounds per game.

The senior finished with a team-high 15 points and 13 rebounds in 20 minutes in game one against Sacramento State while shooting 6-of-9 from the floor. Klinker also dished out one assist, recorded one steal, and drew four fouls in a win over the Hornets. Eight of her 13 rebounds on Friday were on the offensive glass, helping the team to 28 total second chance points.

The Fairfield, Montana native continued her success on Saturday in game two against Sacramento State with seven points and a career-high 19-rebounds in just 19 minutes played. Klinker's 19 rebounds is tied for ninth all-time in a single game in Idaho history and is the most ever recorded by a Vandal in Memorial Gym. Klinker finished 2-of-4 from the floor in the contest while also recording two steals, one block and one assist. Nine of her 19 rebounds were on the offensive glass, helping lead the Vandals to 20 second chance points. She also drew five fouls and committed zero in the win over the Hornets.

Overall, on the week Klinker averaged 11.0 points, 16.0 rebounds, 4.5 fouls drawn, 1.5 steals, 1.0 assists, and 0.5 blocks per game, while shooting 8-of-13 from the field for 61.5 percent.
 
Klinker and the Vandals will travel to Austin, Texas this week to face the Texas Longhorns at 11 a.m. PT on the Longhorn Network.
