RESULTSÂ
SEATTLE, Wash. – The Vandal indoor track and field teams competed at the UW Invitational this weekend. Idaho had some impressive performances at the most competitive meet the team has participated in this season.
Hannah Ringel was fourth in the shot put, heaving it 14.79m (48'6.25"), which puts her second on the Big Sky Conference performance list this year.
Julia Hayes was seventh in the high jump with a jump of 1.65m (5'5").
Karina Moreland and
Jordyn Rauer were fourth and fifth, respectively, in the triple jump.
Spencer Barerra took sixth in the 400 meters in 48.85, while
Ben Doucette finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.03).
The men's 4x400 relay team comprising of Barerra,
Dean Ellenwood,
Nathan Burton, and
Kaizer Gillispie was second in 3:18.21. Meanwhile, the Distance Medley Relay team took fifth (10:03.25).
Zach Nunis finished eighth in the long jump (7.14m/23'5.25").
Zack Short was second in the shot put with a mark of 18.83m (61'9.5"), while teammate Grady Leonard was fifth (17.46m/57'3.5").
In the weight throw,
Cullen Williams was fourth (18.40m/60'4.5") while Leonard was fifth (17.88m/58'8"). Â
The Vandals will next be in action at the final home meet of the season. They will host the Idaho Team Challenge on Friday, February 7 in the Kibbie Dome.
