MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field program is excited to announce the signing of Kalani Hardyway of Oceanside High School in Oceanside, Calif. Kalani is a very talented jumper, who is a two-time CIF State Championship qualifier in the triple jump.

The 2019 track and field season was a breakthrough year for Kalani. She set personal bests in the triple jump at 39 feet and ½ inch, in the long jump at 19 feet and ¾ of an inch, and in the 100m at 12.84. Kalani was the CIF Division II Champion in the triple jump during her junior season. She also was the Avocado League East Champion in both the long jump and triple jump. Kalani was ranked second in her class in the state of California in the long jump and eighth in the triple jump during her junior season.

Kalani has also competed in the 200m, 400m, and on the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams for the Pirates of Oceanside High School.

Kalani has also played soccer at Oceanside. She was named to First Team All-Avocado East as a defender in soccer. She is an amazing leader at her high school as well, having served as ASB President and is currently the Senior Class President.
