TYSON INVITATIONAL DAY 1 RESULTS |
BRONCO CHALLENGE DAY 1 RESULTS
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Vandal indoor track and field teams split up this weekend, with performances at the Tyson Invitational and Bronco Challenge on Friday. Action at both meets concludes on Saturday.
At the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas,
Rechelle Meade took third in the long jump with a leap of 6.09m. Just two University of Oklahoma athletes finished ahead of the senior in the competitive event.
In the men's long jump,
Zachary Nunis was sixth with a jump of 7.31m.
Grady Leonard finished third in the weight throw (18.27m).
In the men's 800m,
Dean Ellenwood was seventh in 1:52.46.
Meanwhile, Vandals also competed at the first day of the Bronco Challenge.
Maizy Brewer took second in the women's 5k (18:26.96), while
Celie Mans was sixth. On the men's side,
Michael McCausland and
Grayson Ollar were third and fourth, respectively in the event, while
Drew Schultz was sixth and
Gabriel Dinnel was seventh.
In the men's long jump,
Britt Ipsen was second with a jump of 6.87m. In the women's long jump,
Karina Moreland was seventh (5.37m).
Competition at both meets continues on Saturday.
