Box Score MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho men's basketball team fell to Northern Arizona, 78-61, on Thursday evening. The Vandals (7-19, 3-12 BSC) fell behind early and the Lumberjacks (15-10, 9-7 BSC) claimed the conference victory.
THE GAME
The game began with both teams cold from the field. After Luke Avdalovic hit an early three-pointer for the Jacks, the teams missed seven straight shots before
Marquell Fraser got the Vandals on the board. With 11:49 to play in the first, Idaho trailed, 15-11, but a 17-3 run by NAU put the visitors ahead by 18 and in control of the game with 4:33 remaining. The Lumberjacks led, 43-27, heading into the break.

In the second half, NAU led by as many as 25. The Vandals began to find their offensive rhythm late, but the hole was large to climb out of, and the Lumberjacks earned the 78-61 win.

Gabe Quinnett led the Vandals with 14 points while Fraser added 12.

Babacar Thiombane each pulled down eight rebounds. Thiombane blocked three shots as well.

Thiombane had a career night, setting new highs in rebounds (eight) and blocks (three).

The Vandals were edged in rebounds, 38-37. The Lumberjacks had 10 offensive rebounds, leading to 15 second chance points.

Trevon Allen finished with seven points, failing to reach double digits for just the second time this year. The senior is two points away from entering the top-10 in career scoring at Idaho.

Gabe Quinnett. The true freshman led the Vandals in scoring for the first time in his young career. His 14 points tied a career high. Quinnett was 5-for-6 from the floor, including a 4-for-5 mark from three-point range.
