MOSCOW, Idaho- The University of Idaho women's basketball team will travel to Ogden, Utah and Pocatello, Idaho for the final week of the 2019-20 regular season. First the Vandals will make a stop in Ogden to take on the Weber State Wildcats at Dee Events Center on Wednesday Mar. 4
th, at 6 p.m. Following Wednesday's game, Idaho will head to Pocatello for the Battle of the Domes against Idaho State and a fight for the No. 2 seed ahead of the Big Sky tournament in Boise.
The Vandals (18-9, 13-5) are coming off a 70-57 win over Southern Utah on Saturday afternoon in Moscow, riding a three-game win streak. Weber State (3-24, 1-17) enters the first of their final two games against Idaho following an 88-63 loss to Portland State on Saturday, their 14
th consecutive loss. The only Big Sky win of the season for Weber State was a 65-60 victory over Northern Colorado on Jan. 9
th, in Greeley.
The Vandals sit in second place overall in the Big Sky standing this week following back-to-back wins and consecutive losses for Northern Arizona. With just two games left before the conference tournament in Boise, the Vandals con lock up the No. 2 seed with a win over Weber State on Wednesday. Seeds one through five all earn a first-round bye.
Idaho and Weber State last met on Dec. 30
th, 2019 in Moscow. Idaho took down the Wildcats 70-50, led by 23 points from
Gina Marxen on six made three-pointers.
Beyonce Bea led the Vandals on the boards with nine to go along with ten points. Idaho turned the ball over just nine times and forced Weber State into 17 turnovers.

SCOUTING IDAHO
Idaho enters its 19th conference game of the season and first of their final two regular season road games against Weber State.
Gina Marxen leads the Vandals in scoring this season with 14.0 points per game and in assists with 4.5 per game. Marxen dished out a career-high 12 assists against Eastern Washington earlier this season. The sophomore from Sammamish, Washington leads the Big Sky in three-pointers made (83) and three-pointers made per game (3.1). In addition, Marxen leads the Big Sky in minutes played per game with 38.0. She totaled 15 points, four rebounds, and six assists last time out against Southern Utah. Marxen has hit 148 career three-pointers as a Vandal which places her in 8
th place all-time.
Last time vs. Weber State: In the first game of the season against Weber State, Marxen led the Vandals with 23 points on 6-of-13 shooting from three-point range. Marxen totaled a team-high three steals to go along with three rebounds and one assist.
Beyonce Bea is right behind Marxen, averaging 12.7 points per game. The freshman from Washougal, Washington is playing an average of 34.2 minutes per game this season, more than any freshman in the conference. Bea scored a career-high 30 points along with a career-high seven assists and 10 rebounds for her second career double-double against Sacramento State two games ago. The freshman chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds last time out against Southern Utah. Bea is averaging 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season while making an average of five field-goals per game.
Last time vs. Weber State: Bea was one of three players who scored in double-figures last time out against Weber State with 10 points, to go along with a team-high nine rebounds. She also recorded two assists, one block, and one steal.
Lizzy Klinker rounds out a group of three players averaging double-figures this season with 12.4 points per game and had a career-high 27 against Northern Arizona four games ago. Klinker, a senior, has recorded four double-doubles as a Vandal and is coming off a 23-point, six rebound performance against Southern Utah on Senior Day.
Last time vs. Weber State: Lizzy scored 13 points against Weber State earlier this year to go along with eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Natalie Klinker leads the Vandals on the boards this season with 7.1 rebounds per game. The junior also ranks second in the Big Sky in offensive rebounding with 2.9 per game. Natalie totaled four offensive rebounds against Southern Utah on Saturday on her way to 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Last time vs. Weber State: Natalie did not play against Weber State earlier this season.
Idaho continues to lead the Big Sky defensively in field-goal percentage defense and scoring defense. The Vandals lead the conference in scoring defense allowing just 59.6 points per game. If the tough defense continues Idaho could set an all-time school record surpassing 58.7 points per game from the 1979-1980 season.
The Vandals are also one of the best teams in the country in terms of turnovers. Idaho averaged just 11.6 turnovers per game which leads the Big Sky, while only committing 313 turnovers, the third fewest in NCAA Division I
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Weber State (3-24, 1-17) enters the contest following 14 consecutive losses. The Wildcats are coming off an 88-63 loss at Portland State.
The Wildcats are led by two players scoring in double-digits per game. Liz Graves leads Weber State with 11.2 points per game and is shooting 37.1 percent from three-point range.
Last time vs. Idaho: Graves scored just right points last time out against the Vandals while also totaling seven rebounds.
Ula Chamberlin is the second leading scorer for the Wildcats with 10.4 points per game and is shooting 81.0 percent from the charity stripe.
Last time vs. Idaho: Chamberlin managed just seven points last time out against the Vandals.
Weber State's offense ranks last in the Big Sky at just 57.3 points per game, while giving up 75.7 points per game.
