MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho men's basketball team fell to Weber State, 72-64, on Thursday evening. The Vandals (7-23, 3-16 BSC) outscored the Wildcats (12-18, 8-11 BSC) in the second half, but the visitors pulled out the conference victory.
THE GAME
The Wildcats opened the game with some hot shooting and led, 20-8, after eight minutes of play. Eight straight points by
Trevon Allen brought the Vandals within six, 24-18, with 7:05 to play in the first, but Weber State kept Idaho at arm's length and led, 38-29, at the break.

Idaho opened the second half on a 15-4 run to take a three-point lead, 45-42. The two teams battled back and forth, but with eight minutes remaining, the Wildcats began a 13-0 run of their own, retaking the lead and extending it to nine points. From that point, the Vandals were unable to get closer than seven points, and ultimately fell, 72-64.

The Vandals outscored the Wildcats, 35-34, in the second half.

Idaho outrebounded Weber State, 35-34. The Vandals pulled down 12 offensive rebounds but scored just three points from them. The Wildcats had 10 o-boards, scoring 16 second chance points.

Trevon Allen, who entered the game second in the league, poured in a game-high 32 points. Jarrick Harding, who entered Thursday as the top scorer in the conference, scored 16 points.

The Vandals took just four free-throws in the game, going 3-for-4. The Wildcats were 10-for-15 from the charity stripe.

Idaho had just nine turnovers in the game, the fewest for the team since Feb. 6. The Vandals forced seven Wildcat turnovers, scoring 14 points off them.

Trevon Allen. Allen moved into ninth place on the Vandals' All-Time Scoring List. He led the team with 32 points, making it his third 30-point game of the year. The senior also chipped in five rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 36 minutes.
