FARMINGTON, Utah— Three Vandals were selected to the Big Sky All-Conference team this season following the conclusion of the regular season. Sophomore
Gina Marxen was named to the Big Sky All-Conference First Team while freshman
Beyonce Bea and Senior
Lizzy Klinker were both named to the Big Sky All-Conference Third Team.
The All-Conference selections are the first for either player in their careers. Marxen earned the Freshman of the Year award last season.

Gina Marxen
Gina Marxen, during just her second season with the Vandals was named to the All-Conference First team this season after being named the Freshman of the Year last year. The Sammamish, Washington native led the Big Sky this season in three-point shooting with 87 made threes at 3.0 per game. Marxen also led the league with a 2.35 assist-to-turnover ratio while playing 38 minutes per game. She averaged a team-high 13.8 points and 4.4 assists per game to go along with 4.0 rebounds per game.
"I am so happy for Gina that she was voted first team," said Newlee. "She is without a doubt one the top players in the Big Sky and I love seeing all her hard work validated by this honor."
Beyonce Bea
Beyonce Bea, as a freshman earned recognition on the Big Sky All-Conference Third Team following an outstanding rookie campaign. Bea was the only freshman in the Big Sky to make either of the top three all-conference teams. The Washougal, Washington native was the Vandals' second leading scorer this season with 12.7 points per game while also contributing 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Bea posted two double-doubles this season and recorded a career-high 30 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists against Sacramento State earlier this season.
"To be voted All Big Sky as a freshman is absolutely amazing," said Newlee "Beyonce has had a great year and I feel like she has barely scratched the surface of all she will accomplish by the time she graduates."
Lizzy Klinker
Senior
Lizzy Klinker was named to the Big Sky All-Conference Third team for the first time in ger Vandal career. Lizzy was a force this season for the Vandals averaging 12.6 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game on a Big Sky third-best 45.6 percent field-goal shooting percentage. In addition, Lizzy leads the Vandals with 31 steals on the season. The Fairfield, Montana native is on a tear as of late, averaging 16.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game over the last four games. Lizzy has recorded three double doubles this season and led the Vandals in scoring through 10 games while totaling double-digit points in 22 games.
"It is great to see Lizzy recognized for the fantastic season she has had this year," said Newlee What a great note to end her career at Idaho on."
