Moscow, Idaho - On March 12th, 2016 the Idaho Women's Basketball team defeated Idaho State 67-55 to win the Big Sky Championship, earning the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The win marked the third conference championship in four years (two WAC and 1 Big Sky) for Head Coach Jon Newlee and the Vandals. 2016's championship team featured Splash Sisters Mikayla Ferenz and Taylor Pierce in their freshmen year prior to etching their name in Idaho and NCAA record books. 

For this week's edition of #ThursdayNightThrowbacks in partnership with Idaho Central Credit Union we present to you the 2016 WBB Big Sky Championship against Idaho State. 

This edition features a special appearance from Coach Newlee and members of the championship throughout the broadcast.
