BIG SKY RELEASE

FARMINGTON, Utah – The annual Big Sky Football Preseason Polls are out, with Idaho taking eighth in the media poll and ninth in the coaches' poll.
 
Weber State was the favorite in both polls, taking 28 of a possible 44 first place votes in the media poll.  Montana, Montana State, Eastern Washington, Sacramento State and UC Davis followed, in order, in both polls.
 
Idaho was picked eighth in both polls last year, and went on to finish in sixth during the regular season.
 
The 2020 Big Sky Conference Virtual Kickoff continues on PlutoTV Channel 530. Head coach Paul Petrino will be featured late this morning, while senior linebacker Christian Elliss will take over on Friday.
 
The Vandals return the majority of their defense in 2020, including both Elliss and Tre Walker who were selected as HERO Sports Preseason All-Big Sky honorees. Idaho has five all-conference selections from a year ago returning, including two All-Americans from 2019.
