WOMEN'S RESULTS | MEN'S RESULTS
OGDEN, Utah – The University of Idaho indoor track and field teams were in action for the first time this year on Friday and Saturday for the Weber State Invitational. The meet featured a lot of debuts for the Vandals, including wins by four freshmen. Overall, Idaho took first in 10 events.
"I'm proud of the team. I thought we had an excellent meet. It's fun to see the athletes out competing again. I thought they brought a lot of intensity and competed well. I think we're in a good place," said Director of Track and Field/Cross Country 
Tim Cawley. "It's fun watching the freshmen get out there and see what competing in college is like. We had a lot of wins and it's great to watch."
Vandals took the top three spots in the women's 200m, with Franziska Stöhr winning in 26.07, 
Olivia Martin taking second in 26.19, and 
Aaryanna Kurucz placing third in 26.46.
In the 400m, Martin was fifth (59.11), while 
Camryn Crouch and Stöhr were seventh and eighth, respectively. Meanwhile, in the 800, 
Elise Abbott was second (2:26.34) with the best time in the conference this year.
Henrike Fiedler won the long jump with a Big Sky leading mark of 19'6" (5.94m), while 
Airiana Dargan was third (5.51m/18'1"). Fiedler also placed third in the 55m hurdles in 8:42.
In the triple jump, 
Tayler LyDay had the best mark of the day, leaping 38'11.75" (11.88m), while Dargan finished just behind in second with a mark of 38'5.5" (11.72m). Gréta Kühne was fourth, while 
Ellie Grant was fifth and 
Arianna Bush was seventh.
Julia Hayes tied for seventh in the high jump, clearing 5'2.25" (1.58m).
Hannah Ringel placed first in the shot put with a heave of 48'8.75" (14.85m) which is the best mark in the conference so far this year. 
Erika Larsen was fifth in the event (41'3.75"/12.59m), and 
Victoria Rae was seventh (39'3"/11.96m). Larsen also took sixth in the weight throw.
On the men's side, 
Caleb Hagan (6.27) and 
Jurrian Hering (6.35) finished first and second, respectively, in the 55m.
Hagan again took first in the 200 meters, finishing in 22.08. 
Spencer Barrera was second (22.15) and Hering was third (22.28).
In the 400m, Barrera placed first in 49.24, while 
Deyondre Davis was sixth and 
Cole Alteneder was eighth.
Lorenz Herrmann won the 800m in a time of 1:54.13, while 
Caleb Seely was fourth in the race.
Hagan has the best times this year in the Big Sky in both the 55 and 200, while Barrera has the top time in the conference for the 400. Herrmann sits atop the performance list in the Big Sky for the 800m.
Joseph Ruddell tied for second in the high jump, clearing 6'8.75" (2.05m).
Zachary Nunis won the triple jump (48'6"/14.78m) and was second in the long jump (23'9"/7.24m). 
Britt Ipsen was fourth in the long jump. Nunis' mark in the triple jump is the best in the Big Sky this season.
In the weight throw, 
Cullen Williams had a mark of 60'3.25" (18.37m) to win the event and move into first on the Big Sky performance list.
