MOSCOW, Idaho - The Vandals are geared up and ready to go for Sunday's game in the dome against Southern Utah. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
SPREAD IT AROUND
Eight different Vandals have scored for Idaho so far this season, and seven have assisted these goals. Hanks is now tied for first with three goals this season.
RECORD BREAKING SEASON
Idaho began the 2021 season 2-0 with wins over North Dakota State and the University of North Dakota.
The Vandals are now 8-2-1, which is the best record in program history.
TOP 10 RANKING
The Vandals were selected to finish fourth by the Big Sky coaches. Idaho remained first place in the conference for multiple weeks in a row. They are now in fourth place, right behind Weber State
NEW YEAR
Idaho welcomes 10 newcomers to the squad this fall. Nine freshmen join the team while one transfer is now a Vandal.
SAME LOOK
Twenty-two letterwinners return to the Vandal squad this year.
Returning to anchor the back line is graduate student
Taylor Brust, who was named to the All-Big Sky Second Team last season.
Also returning is
Margo Schoesler who earned All-Big Sky Honorable Mention accolades last season after scoring two goals as a freshman.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Jadyn Hanks played exceptionally well this past Friday and scored two breakaway goals in the first half against Northern Arizona. With three goals under her belt for the season, she is now one of the top scorers, tied with
Maddy Lasher,
Savannah Foster,
Margo Schoesler, and
Julia Bailey.
MOST RECENTLY
The Vandals' third game of conference play was in the Kibbie Dome against Northern Arizona. The Vandals took the win, 3-1.
UP NEXT
After their victory on Friday, The Vandals will face Southern Utah in the Dome Sunday, October 3. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
