MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho volleyball makes the trip to Ogden, Utah for a matchup with Weber State (13-5, 8-0 BSC) before making their way to Pocatello to face in-state rival Idaho State (6-14, 2-6 BSC). The Vandals matchup against the Wildcats is set for the first serve at 5 p.m. PT on Thursday while a meeting with the Bengals on Saturday starts at noon PT.

The Vandals will look to rebound from tough match losses from a week ago, as they fell in four sets to Northern Colorado and five sets to Eastern Washington.

Series Record

Idaho holds a 25-15 series advantage over Weber State with the two programs last meeting in 2019, as the Wildcats took down the Vandals in five sets.

The Vandals will carry a 24-22 all-time series record over Idaho State into Saturday with the two programs last facing off this past spring. Each match went to the deciding fifth set with both teams pulling out a victory.

Scouting The Opposition

The Wildcats enter Thursday's matchup as the top team in the Big Sky Conference standings with eight consecutive victories and five straight wins coming in three sets.

Eighth-year head coach Jeremiah Larsen has Weber State playing some of their best volleyball of the season after finishing last year as the Big Sky Champions. Outside hitter Rylin Adams and Middle Blocker Sam Schiess have been one of the most dominant front-row duos in the conference. Adams currently tops the Big Sky rankings for kills per set (3.84) and points per set (4.37) while Schiess holds the highest hitting percentage in the conference at .338.

Idaho State returns to the court after dropping matches to Southern Utah and Northern Arizona in three sets this past week.

Up Next - The Vandals will return to Memorial gym to face Southern Utah (Thursday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.) and Northern Arizona (Saturday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.) for the second time around this season.
