KAPOLEI, O'ahu – The Vandal women's golf team moved up to third place in round two of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Tuesday. The team shot even, 288 on the 72-par, 6,208-yard course.
Valeria Patino maintained a spot in the top-10 after day two wrapped up, as she finished tied for 9th place. Patino finished 1-over (73) while tallying two birdies in the round.Â
Senior Eddie Hsu and freshman standout Yvonne Vinceri both climbed the leaderboard on Tuesday, as the two sit tied for 11th place in the individual standings. Hsu moved nine spots in the round after shooting the third-best score of the day with a 2-under, 70. Vinceri was brilliant on day two shooting 1-under (71), which included a team-best five birdies.
Senior Vicky Tsai had a strong round shooting three birdies to finish 3-over, 75. After two rounds, Tsai is tied for 19th place, while teammate Jenna Bruggeman finished 5-over (77) on the afternoon.
The final round of the fall season begins on Wednesday with split tee times starting at noon PT at the Kapolei Golf Club.
