Moscow, Idaho – The Vandals stepped on the floor for the first time inside the new ICCU Arena Friday night, earning the victory over the Geoducks of Evergreen State in an exhibition game, 73-56. Three Vandals reached double digits on the night.

The Vandals raced out to a 13-5 lead to begin action before the Geoducks would create a run of their own to cut the deficit to 15-13. The remainder of the first half was tightly contested as the Vandals took a two-point lead into the break, 25-23.
Newcomer
Mikey Dixon scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half, as the Vandals found some breathing room in the final five minutes to pull away and earn the win, 73-56.
Dixon shot 64% from the field while hitting a 3-5 clip from behind the arc.
Transfer
Philip Pepple Jr. supplied a double-double to the stat sheet with 14 points and 15 boards while junior
Rashad Smith tallied 13 points.Â
UP NEXT
The Vandals will welcome Yellow Christian to town on Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. for their final exhibition game before the regular season begins on Nov. 10.
