MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is excited to announce the addition of
Jemini Archer to the track and field family. Jemini, originally from Barrie, Ontario joined the Vandals this fall as a transfer student from Division II Quincy University in Illinois.
At Quincy Jemini was a standout sprinter for the Hawks. At the 2020 Great Lakes Valley indoor conference meet he was the 200 meter champion. His win the first-ever individual championship in Quincy program history. He also finished in sixth place in the 60 meter dash at the meet. Jemini boasts personal bests of 10.63 seconds in the 100 meters and 21.34 in the 200 meters.
Apart from his success at Quincy, Jemini has accomplished a great amount on the junior circuit in Canada. He was the 2019 indoor 200 meter gold medalist at the Ontario Provincial championship, the 2019 outdoor 200 meter bronze medalist, and most recently the outdoor Ontario Provincial silver medalist in the 100 meters in 2021.
Jemini was named to the Dean's List in the fall of 2020 and spring of 2021 at Quincy which requires an average grade point average of 3.5 or higher to receive the honor. He is pursuing his undergraduate degree in civil engineering. "Jemini is a talented sprinter that brings with him experience to help contribute to the team right away.
