AUSTIN, Texas --They say that everything is bigger in Texas, and this weekend the Vandals face their biggest opponent of the season as the Idaho Women's Basketball team travels to the Lonestar state to face 11th ranked Texas in Austin.

THE VANDALS
Idaho is coming off of a tough 87-65 road loss to Southern Utah to open Big Sky Conference play. The Vandals average 65.8 points a game and are shooting 34.7 percent from the floor and 32.7 from distance. 
The Vandals make 10.0 three-point field goals a game which is good for eighth in the nation. Louise Forsyth's 14.9 points a game leads the team in scoring. Allison Kirby and Beyonce Bea average 7.0 rebounds a game. 

TEXAS
The Longhorns are coming off an impressive 16-point road win over No. 17 Texas Tech to improve to 6-1 on the season. Ranked 11th in the latest AP poll Texas is averaging 83.8 points a game, while allowing just 54.1 a game. Aliyah Matharu leads the team with 16.6 points a game and is shooting 53.8 percent from the field. Rori Harmon averages 12.1 points and 6.6 assists per game. Lauren Ebo averaged 7.4 rebounds and has seven total blocks for the Longhorns.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Tiana Johnson is leading the Big Sky and is eighth in the country in three-point field goal percentage (55.2)
Allison Kirby is tied for tops in the nation with a perfect 100.0 percent free-throw percentage.

The Vandals are approaching 700 wins as a program. The 2021-22 season is the 46th season of women's hoops at Idaho with an all-time record of 699-642 (.520 winning percentage)
