MOSCOW, Idaho – University of Idaho women's golfer Vick Tsai was awarded the Big Sky Women's Golfer of the Week for the first time in her career after helping the Vandals finish 6^th at the Texas State Invitational.
 
Tsai recorded a total score of 4-over, 220 in her first tournament of the Spring 2021 season. Tsai improved every round, leading to a team best 3-under, 69, in the final 18 holes of the Texas State Invitational. Tsai started off the tournament with a first-round score of 77, firing in an eagle on the front nine. The junior started to catch fire in the last two rounds, making eight birdies, five of which coming from her final round.

"I'm really excited for Vicky," said head coach Lisa Ferrero. "She played great this week. We set some high goals at the beginning of this year and she is working hard everyday to accomplish those goals."

Tsai finished tied for 13^th for the tournament, recording her fourth top-15 finish of her career.
 
Tsai and the Vandals are back the first week of March for the Grand Canyon University Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
