Vandals Wrap Up Indoor Season at Bobcat Bonus

RESULTS

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The University of Idaho indoor track and field teams were in action for the final time of the year at the Bobcat Bonus meet, hosted by Montana State, on Friday.

"I thought the meet went great. I'm super proud of the team. Across the board we had a lot of wins which is a good sign, showing people competing out there. We had a lot of personal records. Things are moving in the right direction as we get ready and prepare for Outdoors," said Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Tim Cawley. "I'm really excited with the team results. We're super appreciative of Montana State for putting the meet on and having us."

Caleb Hagan won the 200m in a time of 22.33. The freshman also took first in the 60m (6.74). Jurrian Herring was just behind in the 200 to finish second in 6.84. Herring won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.10. In the 400, Spencer Barrera was second (49.00) while Deyondre Davis was fifth (50.27). Barrera now has the second-best time in the Big Sky Conference. Meanwhile, Lorenz Herrmann won the 800 in 1:53.29, with Caleb Seely placing third (1:56.49). Hermann holds the best time in the conference this year. The Vandals 4x400 relay team made up of Davis, Hermann, Seely, and Barrera was second in 3:24.16.

In the men's high jump, Joseph Ruddell had the best mark of the day, clearing 6'9.75" (2.08m), which also puts him with the best mark in the Big Sky this season. Britt Ipsen was second (6'2"/1.88m). Zachary Nunis won both the long jump (23'11.5"/7.30m) and the triple jump (48'4.75"/14.75m). His mark in the long jump is the best this season in the league. Grady Leonard won the weight throw with a mark of 65'0.75" (19.83m) and was second in the shot put with a toss of 56'6.5" (17.23m). Both marks are the best in the Big Sky. Cullen Williams was second in the weight throw (62'4"/19.00m), which puts him second in the conference as well.

On the women's side, Tayler LyDay was third in the 60 meters with a time of 7.95. In the 400, Vandals had the best three times. Camryn Crouch won with a time of 59.19, while Franziska Stoehr (59.31) and Olivia Martin (59.65) were second and third, respectively. Anna Pecha finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:19.18, while Elise Abbott (2:26.48) was fifth. The 4x400 meter relay team of Martin, Stoehr, Pecha, and Crouch ran unopposed in a time of 4:05.15.

Hayes had the best mark of the day in the high jump, clearing 5'5.25" (1.66m). Fiedler won the long jump with a leap of 19'10.75" (6.06m) which is the best in the Big Sky this year, while Dargan was sixth (17'0.75"/5.20m). In the triple jump, Dargan finished first (39'8"/12.09m) with LyDay just behind in second (39'5"/12.01m). Those marks also put them in first and second in Big Sky rankings this season. Greta Kuhne was fifth (36'11.5"/11.26m) and Bush was seventh (34'8.25"/10.57m). Hannah Ringel won the shot put with a heave of 46'1.5" (14.06m) and was second in the weight throw with a mark of 50'7.5" (15.43m). Erika Larsen was third in both events, while Victoria Rae was fourth in the shot put and fifth in the weight throw.
