SEAL BEACH, Calif. – The Vandals are back in action for The Gold Rush hosted by Long Beach State on Monday, Feb. 22 after a change in their Spring season schedule. The two-day competition will be played at the Old Ranch Country Club, with the first two rounds on Monday.

THE COURSE – The tournament will be played as a par-72, featuring a 6,218-yard course at Old Ranch Country Club.

THE FIELD – This 13-team tournament will feature Idaho, the hosts Long Beach State, BYU, Cal Poly, CSUN, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, UC Irvine, UNLV, USC, and Wyoming.

THE LINEUP – Traveling for the Vandals will be juniors
Vicky Tsai and
Eddie Hsu, seniors
Valeria Patino and
Jaime Bellingham, and graduate student
Laura Gerner.

COACH FERRERO ON THE TOURNAMENT – "We are excited to play again," said head coach
Lisa Ferrero. "It's going to be 80 and sunny so we are looking forward to playing a great golf course and keeping our positive momentum from last tournament."

LAST TIME ON THE GREEN – Last tournament, the Vandals finished in a tie for 6
th place in a 15-team field at the Texas State Invitational. Juniors
Vicky Tsai and
Valeria Patino lead the way for the Vandals, carding a 4-over three-round score and both finished in a tie for 13
th on the individual leaderboard.
