MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho soccer welcomes Oregon State to the Kibbie Dome on Friday to open the season. Kickoff time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS (0-0): Oregon State returns 10 players from 2019 when they were 11-6-2 overall and 3-6-2 in the Pac-12. McKenzie Weinert returns to lead the Beavers after a season in which she had 21 points and nine goals to lead the squad, earning a spot on the All-Pac-12 Third Team. Brianna McReynolds, who had five assists to pace OSU, was named to the All-Pac-12 Freshman Team last season. OSU welcomes 13 newcomers to the squad this year.

SCOUTING THE VANDALS (0-0): Idaho returns eight starters from a 5-12-2 2019 season. Taylor Brust, who started all 19 games while tallying two goals and an assist, was named to the All-Big Sky First Team. Hadley Sbrega earned Honorable Mention accolades as a force in midfield, scoring one goal. The senior was named to the Second Team following the 2018 season. Also returning is Maddie Haas, who had nine points, three goals, and three assists, leading the Vandals in all three categories. Idaho welcomes 15 newcomers to the squad, including 10 freshmen.

SERIES HISTORY: Oregon State leads the all-time series 6-0-1. The teams last met in 2019, with the Beavers earning a 2-1 win in Corvallis.

SPRING IN THEIR STEP: The 2020-21 year will be a unique one, with the playing season having been delayed until the spring. It will have been 467 days between games for the Vandals when they take the field on Friday.

NEXT UP: Following Friday's match, the Vandals will travel to Pullman to take on Washington State on February 19. Kickoff against the Cougs is scheduled for 7 p.m.
