BOISE, Idaho- The University of Idaho Women's Basketball defeated No. 7 Northern Arizona 67-53 Tuesday night to advance to the Big Sky Semifinal tonight at 8 p.m. PT against No. 3 Montana State.
The Vandals advance to the Big Sky semifinals for the fifth time since returning to the Big Sky conference in 2014.
Idaho boasts the league's best offense entering the semifinal, scoring 72.8 points per game, led by two of the league's top scorers in
Gabi Harrington (17.3) and
Beyonce Bea (16.0)
The Vandals also are one of the top rebounding teams in the Big Sky, averaging 41.5 rebounds per game. Idaho outrebounded the Lumberjacks 50-37 last night.
Harrington had her fourth double-double of the season against NAU scoring 22 points and grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds. Freshman
Sydney Gandy totaled 23 points in her conference tournament debut.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Montana State entered the conference tournament as the No. 3 overall seed after a 13-3 Big Sky record. The Bobcats defeated No. 11 Sacramento State, 66-55, in the quarterfinals, advancing to the semifinals to face Idaho.
Darian White leads the Bobcats with 14.6 points per game while Tori Martell is scoring 13.3. White was named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the year while both players earned All-Conference honors.
Montana State is just behind Idaho in scoring on the season, averaging 72.4 points per game. The Bobcats boast the league's second-best defense giving up just 62.7 points per game. The Bobcats are just fifth in the league in rebounds at 38.1 points per game.
LAST TIME OUT VS MONTANA STATE
Idaho and Montana State have not played since Feb. 6, 2020. Montana State topped the Vandals in Moscow, 62-56. The next three scheduled games between the two teams were canceled, including the 2020 Big Sky Championship game.
