Box Score BOISE, Idaho – Idaho women's basketball fell to Idaho State, 84-49, in the 2021 Big Sky Conference Tournament Championship Game on Friday afternoon at the Idaho Central Arena in Boise.
THE GAME
Idaho State came out on fire, shooting 12-of-16 from the floor in the first quarter to take control early, 27-17. The Vandals tried to battle back but were unable to get into an offensive rhythm, finding themselves down 44-25 at halftime.
The Bengals kept their foot on the gas as the Vandals were unable to get within 20 the rest of the way. Idaho would go on to fall, 84-49 in their third Big Sky Championship appearance since 2014.

Beyonce Bea led the Vandals with 14 points, while
Sydney Gandy chipped in with 10 points.
Idaho State shot 58.7 percent from the floor in the contest while the Vandals were just 27.0 percent.
The Vandals finish the season at 17-7. Friday was the fourth time in the last six seasons that the Vandals earned a spot in the Big Sky Tournament Championship game, the most in the league. Idaho State has made three appearances, while Montana State earned two.

Gandy and senior
Gabi Harrington earned All-Tournament honors after averaging 17.3 and 12.6 points per game, respectively on the week. Harrington also averaged 8.3 rebounds per game through three games in Boise.
