BOULDER CITY, Nev. – After a windy opening day at the Jackrabbit Invitational, The Vandals sit in 6
th place on the team leaderboard. The second round of play was suspended due to darkness and will resume Tuesday morning.

"It was really windy, and we need to stay patient," said head coach
Lisa Ferrero. "I think we learned a lot about course management and I really want to see them go out and just play tomorrow."

Leading the way for the Vandals was junior
Vicky Tsai. Tsai had a two-shot improvement in her second round, firing two birdies prior to the delay. Tsai sits in a tie for 7
th, carding a 10-over with four holes to play in her second round.

Five strokes behind Tsai was junior
Valeria Patino. Patino fired in two birdies in her opening two rounds, totaling a score of 15-over. Patino is tied for 25
th heading into the final day of competition. Junior
Eddie Hsu sits only two strokes behind Patino, holding the sole possession of 29
th place with a score of 17-over. Hsu tallied three birdies in her opening two rounds, with one hole left to play at the point of the delay.

Not far behind comes graduate student
Laura Gerner who carded an 18-over. With one hole remaining in the second round, Gerner sits in a tie for 30
th heading into the final day of competition. Making her season debut, sophomore
Linnea Jerlebo carded a 20-over and is tied for 44
th with four holes left in the second round.

South Dakota State currently sits in first place with a team score of 30-over, 606. Individually, Quynn Duong from Gonzaga holds first place, carding a score of 4-over 148.
