RESULTS | DAY 1 RECAP
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Idaho track and field had one student-athlete competing on Friday at the 2021 NCAA Track and Field Championships Preliminary Rounds, with
Zachary Nunis competing in the triple jump.
Nunis jumped 14.79m/48'6.25" in the event to finish 42nd. He entered the meet ranked 51
st in the West. It was the second event Nunis competed in after placing 17th in the long jump.
Tayler LyDay and
Malaina Thacker will both compete on Saturday to close out the West Region Prelims for the Vandals. LyDay will jump in the triple jump beginning at 1:15 p.m. PT, while Thacker will run in the 3k steeplechase which is scheduled to begin at 4:10 p.m. PT.
Zack Short has already punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships in the shot put.
