Previous All-America Honors: AFCA | HERO SPORTS | STATS Perform
MOSCOW, Idaho – Three Vandals were recognized on Thursday as members of the Phil Steele Spring FCS All-America Teams, in collaboration with draftscout.com.
Tre Walker earned first team accolades, while both
Logan Kendall and
Cade Coffey took home third team recognition.
Walker had an incredible season. He led the Big Sky in tackles per game at 13.5 on his way to being named a unanimous selection for All-Big Sky First Team. He was named a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, given annually to the top defensive player in all of FCS, and ultimately finished 10
th in the voting. Walker had previously been named to four other All-America teams this year, including Hero Sports, Associate Press and Stats Perform. Walker was a Phil Steele Preseason All-Big Sky First Team selection.
Kendall was a force to be reckoned with in 2021. Primarily used for his blocking prowess, Kendall caught six passes on the year for 91 total yards and two scores. His longest touchdown of the year came in week five, when he found the end zone untouched after a 25-yard pickup in his hometown of Cheney, Wash. Kendall was a unanimous All-Big Sky First Team selection at fullback.
Coffey was tremendous in the spring. His net punting average of just under 44 yards per punt was the second best average in program history. He finished the year second in the conference in punting average at 45.8 yards per punt, and dropped 16-of-26 attempts inside the opponent's 20. Coffey has also not been a stranger to postseason recognition this year, earning AP and Stats Perform All-America honors and earning All-Big Sky accolades as both a punter and a kicker.
