BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Idaho Vandals (3-12, 2-4) fell 79-69 to the Montana State Bobcats (8-8, 3-2) Monday night in Worthington Arena.
For the second-straight game
Beyonce Bea recorded a double-double (15 points – 12 rebounds) But the Vandals couldn't contain the Bobcats, who shot 48.3 percent from the field and scored 36 points in the paint
Trailing by eight at the half, Idaho couldn't cut into the Bobcat lead in the second half. Montana State led by ten for a majority of the second half, before the Vandals made a run late in the fourth. Idaho trimmed the MSU lead to six with two minutes left in regulation, but couldn't climb any closer as MSU iced the game from the free-throw line down the stretch.
The Vandals shot 38.1 percent from the floor and had 15 assists on 24 made field goals. But lost the rebound battle 43-31.
Louise Forsyth scored 15 points off the bench,
Sydney Gandy scored 14 points and five assists and
Allison Kirby scored 13 points and four rebounds.
Paris Atchley and
Tiana Johnson each scored six points to round out the scoring for the Vandals.
