LEWISTON, Idaho -- Idaho cross country wrapped up regular season action at the LC State Invitational on Saturday morning as the men and women both provided dominant performances to secure first-place finishes.
The Idaho women swept the top three spots and seven out of the first eight finishers represented Idaho, helping secure the team title with 17 points.
Maya Kobylanski was the first to cross the finish line for Idaho, taking the individual title with a time of 16:35.
Kelsey Swenson followed just behind to earn second (16:42) while
Nathalia Campos finished in third at 17:11.
Leah Holmgren (Fifth, 17:31),
Abigail Thomas (Sixth, 17:47),
Chloe Overberg (Seventh, 17:48) and
Elise Abbott (Eighth, 17:54) rounded out the top-10 for the Vandals.
The Vandal men claimed all top 5 spots in the race, scoring 15 points to take home first place.
Lorenz Herrmann claimed the individual title with a finishing time of 24:05.
Gabriel Dinnel and
Shea Mattson secured second and third-place finishes, respectively. Dinnel crossed the finish line at 24:18 while Mattson clocked in at 24:41.
Rounding out the top five for the Idaho men was
Sam Fulbright and
Tim Stevens. Fulbright came in fourth with a time of 24:49 while Stevens finished fifth (24:53).
Idaho cross country prepares for the Big Sky Championships on Oct. 28 in Spokane.
