MOSCOW, Idaho -- The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is thrilled to announce Constanze Paoli has committed to join the Vandals in the fall of 2023. From Alzenau, Germany Constanze brings national-level success to Moscow and bolsters an already talented group of student-athletes.
Constanze has ranged from 800 meters to 5000 meters and will become an immediate contributor to the team. In 2021, Constance delivered an amazing season where she continued to attain new personal records and achievements. She set her best marks from 800 meters to 5000 meters showing her range of abilities.
At the German under-20 championships that August Constanze raced to a third-place finish in the 2000-meter steeplechase in a personal best of 6:48.48". This mark was almost a full 16 seconds faster than her best mark in 2020.
Constanze built on her success in 2022, bettering her finish at the under-20 championships with a second-place finish. She would go on to compete in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the under-23 championships a few days later. Her best mark in the 3000-meter steeplechase came in early July of 2022 when she crossed the line in 11:09.59".
