MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho plays the final of its season-opening road trip that includes five true road games and three neutral-site games. The Vandals play at UTSA who is 1-5 on the season. Like the Vandals, the Roadrunners have been on the road a lot early with only one road game, a 76-70 win over Abilene Christian. The game will be broadcast on the UTSA website while a radio broadcast can be heard on AM 849 KMAX or on GoVandals.com.

Beyonce Bea is averaging 22.6 points per game to lead the way for Idaho, best in the Big Sky Conference and 8th in the NCAA. The Vandals welcome in six newcomers, including a pair of transfers in
Jenna Kilty (Portland State) and Malone (Idaho State). Idaho was picked to finish third by the Big Sky Coaches and Bea was named to the Big Sky Preseason team. Idaho returns three starters off of last year's team; Bea,
Sydney Gandy and
Tiana Johnson, who is taking advantage of her covid year to play a fifth season of basketball.
ABOUT UTSA: Veteran coach Karen Aston is in her second season at the helm in San Antonio and is looking to build a successful program like she built at Texas. The Roadrunners have had a tough early schedule with five games away from San Antonio with their lone win coming against Abilene Christian at home (76-70). Jordyn Jenkins scores 17.8 points per game to lead the Roadrunner offense.
SERIES HISTORY: This the first meeting for the two programs since both teams were in the WAC for one season in 2012-13. The Vandals are 3-0 all-time against the Roadrunners with a 64-45 win over UTSA in the lone road game.
ROAD WARRIORS: Idaho is eight games into an opening stretch that sees the Vandals facing its first eight opponents and 10 of its first 11 on the road. The lone home game comes on Dec. 15 against Denver at ICCU arena. The non-conference stretch includes seven true road games and three neutral-site games.
