MOSCOW, Idaho – Backcourt tandem
Trevante Anderson and
Mikey Dixon combined to score 57 points to help carry Idaho past Weber State, 83-79 on Saturday afternoon at ICCU Arena.

Zac Claus said. "I give our players all the credit in the world for staying mentally sharp. They were tough enough to bounce right back and be able to compete and win a game like this today."
Dixon led the Vandals with a game-high 31 points on an efficient 10-of-12 from the field and 4 for 4 from behind the arc. The effort included a season-high 10 rebounds and four assists for Dixon.
Anderson tied a career-best with 26 points on 10-of-15 from the floor while dishing out six assists. Freshman forward
Tanner Christensen added his eighth game in double figures with 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Vandals offense saw their most efficient shooting display against a Division 1 opponent this season with a 58.5 percent mark from the field, including an 8 for 20 effort from three. Idaho continued to make shots from the foul line, going 13-of-16. Â
The Silver and Gold led the Wildcats for over 38 minutes and outrebounded Weber State 37-25 to help secure the victory.
Idaho jumped out to a 12-0 start and carried a 13-point lead into the half. Weber State roared back to make it a two-point game but the Vandals would secure the victory at the foul line with a 5 for 6 effort in the final 16 seconds of the game.
The Vandals move to 6-18 (3-11 BSC) on the season while Weber State goes to 18-8 (11-4 BSC)
NEXT UP - Idaho returns to the floor to host Montana on Feb. 17 to continue its four-game homestand. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
